Osama's Death On Saturday Night Live Now

From a Hollywood film to a video game, Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden's death has become entertainment fodder. And now his violent end will be spoofed on the hit US comedy show Saturday Night Live.

SNL will bring together Osama and Disney princess Ariel from the Little Mermaid, played by Emmy winning actress Tina Fey, in its spoof, reported New York Post online.

"Fey, done up as a mermaid is leading the full SNL cast in a musical showstopper of the classic Disney tune Under the Sea. For the number's finale, Laden's corpse is dropped from the rafters," said a source from the show's sets.

The skit lampooning the terrorist's trip to a watery grave is the brain child of the '30 Rock' star Fey. It's unclear which SNL cast members will take on the other beloved 'Little Mermaid' characters crab.

Amitabh Bachchan To Host KBC 5

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan will host the fifth season of the popular and hit reality game show Kaun Banega Crorepati.

"Preparing now for KBC's next season starting I think in a few months... creative and promo discussions today ... very interesting," Bachchan said on Twitter yesterday.

KBC is an Indian reality game show based on the UK game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

The show first aired in 2000 was hosted by the 68-year-old actor making his maiden appearance on Indian TV.

The game show became a huge rage with Bachchan hosting its first and second seasons. Following this, superstar Shah Rukh Khan was roped in for the third. But Big B returned to anchor the show's fourth season which was aired on Sony Entertainment Television.

Earlier, last year, when the makers of KBC had approached Bachchan for the fifth season, he had asked for the opinion of his fans.

Ratan Ka Rishta Gets Response From 54,863 Bachelors

Actress Ratan Rajput's quest for a groom on TV has begun with 54,863 hopefuls from Meerut to Pakistan seeking her hand in the upcoming reality show Ratan Ka Rishta.

The actress, best known for her role in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, is looking for her soul-mate on the third season of Imagine's Swayamvar after Rakhi Sawant's infamous engagement and Rahul Mahajan's controversial TV marriage to Dimpy Ganguly.

In India, Uttar Pradesh tops the list with majority of the entries coming in from Meerut and Lucknow, while Delhi stands second followed by cities like Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Bhopal, Bangalore, Patna, Chandigarh, Ranchi and Hyderabad.

Entries are also coming in from UK, followed by countries like Italy, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Canada, US and Pakistan.

Young men from different walks of life have applied with professions ranging from Doctors, to engineers, professors, lawyers, businessmen, chefs, bankers, managers and software analysts.

"I want to thank everybody for their continuous support to me. I hope that with the blessings of God, my family and viewers, I find a true soul-mate," Ratan said in a statement.

The show, which exploits Indian fondness for weddings and match-making, has been successful in generating eyeballs and the channel hopes to get lucky the third time.

"The response for Season 3 Ratan Ka Rishta has been very good. We have entries from all over the world and with so many prospective grooms on hand Ratan has been spoilt for choice. We are confident to find the right match for Ratan," Nikhil Madhok, Imagine's senior director, marketing and communications said.

The stunt reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi season - 4 is going to be an electrifying one with the 13 hot babes participating on the show and only one Khiladi, host Akshay Kumar, who will take the lead of the show. This summer all the hot girls from the entertainment industry will be seen on Khatron Ke Khiladi 4.

A few days ago we had already confirmed that Aarti Chhabria, Dani (Vindoo Dara Singh's wife) and VJ Bani (linked with Shahid Kapoor) have already added their names to the list of 13 contestants on Khatron Ke Khiladi Season - 4. Mauli Dave was seen as a singer participant of the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 while Mia is a popular VJ on MTV. Anjum Chopra was the former Captain of the India Women's Cricket Team. Model Poonam Pandey doesn't need any introduction after her striptease promise that she made to Indian Cricket Team for winning World Cup 2011.

Poonam Pandey dumps comedy show for KKK 4

First it was Indian cricket team who were ditched by model Poonam Pandey, who claimed to bare it all if India wins World Cup 2011, which she never did till date and now it is a television channel. A few days ago it was reported that Poonam Pandey has been roped in for the stand up comedy show Comedy Ka Maha Muqqabla on TV.

The channel even confirmed the news to TOI, “Yes, we have roped her in as a participant and she will soon be seen on TV." While, everybody including the channel were expecting her to appear as a comedian, Poonam once again, as usual dumped them by opting for the dangerous show Khatron Ke Khiladi - Fear Factor 4.

An insider from Comedy Ka Maha Muqqabla told TOI, "Poonam was all set to shoot with us starting Monday and her entry was expected to air in the ninth episode but we just received an e-mail that she can't do the show as she is exclusively bound by the channel that airs Khatron Ke Khiladi."

A source from the channel of Khatron Ke Khiladi confirms the news that Poonam Pandey has been already signed for the show, which will be hosted by the Khiladi himself, Akshay Kumar. Other contestants of the show that has been confirmed are Vj Bani, sport star Anju Chopra, reality show singer Mauli Dave, model Alecia Raut, Diandra Soares, Kashmera Shah, Sambhavna Seth, Aarti Chhabria and Vindoo Dara Singh's wife Dina Singh.

We just hope that this time Poonam sticks to her words and participates on the show KKK4.

Shatrughan To Host Bhojpuri Kaun Banega Crorepati

Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha is all set to give popularity challenge to Amitabh Bachchan by hosting 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' in Bhojpuri.

Siddarth Basu, the maker of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the programme that revolutionized Indian television as well as Amitabh Bachchan's sagging career, has succeeded in roping in
Sinha for the Bhojpuri version of the show.   

Sinha popularly known as "Bihari Babu" would step into Amitabh's shoes as the Bhojpuri host for the show, which would be telecast on Mahua Channel.

Shooting is expected to start from May next and the programme would run for over a year.

Sinha, BJP MP from Patna Saheb, was not available for comments but sources close to him said he agreed to do the show to promote and project Bhojpuri language spoken by a large number of people in Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Outside India, Bhojpuri is spoken in Guyana, Suriname, Fiji, Trinidad and Tobago and Mauritius.

Akshay Kumar Back As The Host Of Khatron Ke Khiladi 4

After much drama, Akshay Kumar will host Khatron Ke Khiladi 4. The actor will be seen flexing his muscles and packing a punch in the first teaser that will go on air tonight.

Sunil Manchanda's MAD Production has created the first look for the reality show. They are the same guys who shot all the Bigg Boss 4 promos with Salman Khan. Marco Kalantri has directed Akki in the teaser, while Niharika Khan has styled him.

Akshay hosted the first two seasons of the reality show which were shot in South Africa, while Priyanka Chopra anchored the third season filmed in Brazil. Akshay will return to SA for the fourth outing of the show.

The Khiladi's return was announced initially for the fourth season, followed by news that the likes of Salman and Ajay Devgn had been approached.

A source said, "Akshay was paid Rs 1.5 crore per episode for the first season which was upped in the second round. For the fourth season, the price he quoted was too high and he refused to negotiate. Ajay Devgn was then seen as a possible replacement. Ajay was negotiating the price and terms of the contract, when the channel went and leaked it out to Akshay that they had approached Devgn. Akki immediately renegotiated his price and cut it down, so Devgn was left out while Akki came on board again."

The channel still wasn't happy with Akshay's terms and approached Salman Khan. They wanted to shoot in Bangkok and Sallu was already shooting there at the time.

When Akki came to know that Salman is being considered for the show, he was upset. The channel remained non-committal saying it was too early to talk about it.

While in London shooting, Akshay continued renegotiations. Finally, a consensus was reached and the channel officially decided to release a statement.

Sara Khan diagnosed with Kidney stone

Television actress Sara Khan who is most remembered and most criticized for her big fat wedding on the reality show Bigg Boss 4, with actor Ali Merchant, was recently rushed to a hospital near Mira Road following severe pain in her stomach on Monday, 14th of March.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "She attended the 100th episode bash of the TV show Ram Milaayi Jodi the same evening. Medical investigations are still on to diagnose the exact cause of the pain. She’s still suffering from bouts of pain and barely manages to get through her day to day activities."

A friend of Sara Khan confirmed, “We are extremely concerned about her health. She has become too weak and we hope she bounces back soon.”

Sara Khan said, "Well, it has just been diagnosed that I have a stone in my kidney. I will try to dissolve it by homeopathy."

Oneindia wished Sara good health and a speedy recovery.

Ragini Khanna Matches Steps With Hrithik Roshan

Ragini Khanna, who plays a bubbly bahu Suhana in popular show Sasural Genda
Phool, says she was on seventh heaven to get a chance to shake a leg with superstar Hrithik Roshan during an award show.
      
Ragini was not only handed over a trophy but also got a chance to match steps with Hrithik during the Star Parivaar Awards in Macau recently. The actor is making his small screen
debut with Star Plus show Just Dance.
       
"I remember, I had my board exams when Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai released. I managed to convince my housekeeper to come with me because I was so desperate watch the movie. Meeting him in person was like a dream come true," said Ragini.
       
The young TV star, who is also stepping into Bollywood with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming film Teen Thay Bhai, however, says she was not nervous to dance with the star, who is known to be one of the most accomplished dancers in the film industry.
       
"I was too happy to get excited. He also kissed me on the forehead and for me it was the freeze-frame moment," she said, adding that she also enjoyed playing a Chinese girl during the recent award gala.
       
"I loved playing the part. It was great to get dressed up like that," she added.
       
Ragini, who is the niece of actor Govinda, is happy to break the stereotypes with her role in the TV show, which has made her a household name but the young actress says there was a time when she struggled to land a saree-clad role.
       
"I am happy that I am part of an experimental show like that but there was a time during my days of struggle that I would pray to land a saree-clad girl's role," says Ragini, who plays a rich girl, who gets married into a middle-class family against her wishes.
       
Talking about her upcoming movie, which is all set to hit theatres mid-April, Ragini says she landed the part even before signing the serial.
       
"I gave audition and when I saw Delhi-6, I prayed that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra to like my audition and it happened. Working with Om Puriji was the best part. I have seen him in all those serious roles but he is total opposite of what you see onscreen. He is a prakster and made me laugh a lot on the sets," she added.
