‘Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey’ selected for ‘Oscar’


Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone-starrer period film“Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey”might have bombed at the box office but it will soon be a part of the prestigious Oscar library.

The film has been presented by PVR Pictures and co-produced by Ajay Bijli, Sanjeev Bijli and Sunita A. Gowariker talks about a large group of young people who fought the a battle for India’s freedom during the Chittagong Uprising 1930-34.
The film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey was based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930, as depicted in journalist Manini Chatterjee’s book ‘Do & Die’.
The Oscars library has asked Gowariker for the screenplay of the film which will be a permanent treasure in their core collection for the research of the future filmmakers, writers, actors and students worldwide. Recently, screenplays of Bollywood films like Rock On!!, Rajneeti and Action Replayy have made it to the Oscar library.
