Sathyabama University was set up in subsection 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 which was formerly known as Sathyabama Engineering College set up by Jeppiaar Educational Trust in 1987. It is a pioneer institute knowledge in the areas of technology, science,and education. The institution’s progress and contribution in the field of technical training two decades, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Govt. India university status on 16, July, 2001 and University status on 13,09, 2006 under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
