War on corruption: India wins, Anna Hazare to end fast at 10 am

New Delhi: Anna Hazare is believed to have won the battle on corruption with the government relenting to the demands made by the veteran social activist, according to reports.
Hazare announced on Friday night that he is likely to end his fast at 10 am on Saturday, but only if the government accepts all his conditions on the drafting of the Jan Lokpal bill.
Reports suggest the government had conceded most of the demands related to the anti-corruption bill.
Hazare's announcement came after Arvind Kejriwal and Swami Agnivesh met with Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal, law minister Veerappa Moily and minority affairs minister Salman Khurshid.
According to reports, Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will be the chairman and senior lawyer Shanti Bhushan will be the co-chairman of the proposed joint committee to draft an effective Lokpal Bill.
Anna Hazare had demanded no "tainted" ministers should be appointed in the committee that will draft the stringent anti-corruption bill.
