Actor Anupam Kher's house was attacked this evening in Mumbai by RPI (Republican Party of India) activists for his alleged derogatory comments on the Constitution in a television interview.
Anupam's wife Kirron Kher told NDTV a short while back that some miscreants broke lights at her house. Earlier in the day, a breach of privilege notice was moved in Maharashtra assembly against Anupam Kher for his alleged derogatory comments.
Both Anupam and his wife were not at home when this attack took place. A case is being registered with the Juhu Police station and some RPI activists have been detained. A police team has reached the spot.
Kher had reportedly said, "The Constitution should be thrown out." He made these comments during a TV show on Anna Hazare's fast-unto-death for stringent anti-graft laws.
