Well known screenplay writer Sachin Bhowmick, who has worked for films like Aaradhana, Love in Tokyo, Koi Mil Gaya and Krrish, died here today following a massive cardiac attack.
He was 82 and is survived by his wife and two sons. Family sources said he breathed his last at his residence in suburban Mumbai this evening.
In a career spanning five decades, Bhowmick worked with directors like Nasir Hussain, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, J Om Prakash, Subhash Ghai, and Rakesh Roshan.
He wrote the screenplay for films like 'Aradhana', 'Love in Tokyo', 'Brahmachari', 'Caravan', 'Golmaal', 'Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahi', An Evening in Paris, 'Aayi Milan Ki Bela', 'Janwar', 'Taal', 'Karan Arjun', 'Soldier', 'Koi Mil Gaya' and 'Krrish'.
Bhowmick had directed one film, the 1973 Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore-starrer 'Raja Rani' which he also wrote.
